Brandon is passionate about meeting you where you are. He believes counseling is incredibly powerful in tailoring treatment to your specific needs, experiences, background, and desires. He describes his approach as responsibly eclectic in crafting a process that facilitates healing through obtaining skills and insights. He has been counseling since 2012 and has experience in marital and premarital counseling, anger, depression, anxiety, sexuality and sexual addictions, as well as spiritual issues. He also approaches the counseling relationship from a Biblical worldview. He believes that God and Biblical principles can provide a framework for the healing process. However, he recognizes the need to first understand each person’s views and beliefs individually. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and an approved counseling supervisor in the state of Virginia and West Virginia. He received his Master of Arts (MA) in Professional Counseling in 2013 and has several years’ experience in many populations and also holds a Master of Science (MS) in Commercial Aviation. He has completed a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision and works as an associate professor of counseling in a CACREP Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. His research agenda includes specific focus on OCD and ERP treatments, sexuality and sexual issues, pornography use, religious involvement, singles, and attraction.
