Having more than 20 years of experience in faith-based lay counseling, prior to receiving her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Linda provides a wealth of spiritual discernment with clinical training in her counseling relationships. Linda views the counseling relationship as pivotal in the progress that the client makes and works to build the strong bond with them. Linda works with individuals and couples to help them develop positive goals, effective communication skills, and achievable success. The overarching goal is to restore a sense of hope while working towards genuine change and a renewed confidence about life. She is especially skilled at assisting with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and having experienced regrettable life choices. She is proficient and experienced with military populations, multi-cultural issues, parenting, trauma recovery/healing, and communication skills. Linda’s training covers individual counseling, marriage and family issues, career guidance, group work, addictions, and gerontology. Along with many years of teaching and listening with a variety of cultures and age groups, Linda is also a certified facilitator through Prepare-Enrich assessment and training program for pre-marital counseling.
