Shantel has an undergraduate degree in Health Promotion and received her M.A. in Professional Counseling. She enjoys working with adolescents, children, and adults. Her areas of interest include but are not limited to sexual trauma, exploring self-concepts, play and behavioral therapy, postpartum depression, couples therapy, relationship discord, and substance abuse. Shantel enjoys helping clients grow in their mental, physical, and emotional health. She strongly believes that counseling can help clients form a sense of autonomy. She wants to help clients understand their thoughts and feelings through client centered approaches and interventions. She believes that while in session her client’s health is her priority and wants to support them through their struggles while seeking freedom and autonomy.
