Dr. Kristin Hauswirth has been working for the past ten years in various areas in the mental health field. Her areas of practice include working with chronic depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, serious mental illnesses, substance use/addictions, co-occurring disorders, family conflict, relationship concerns, and adjustment disorders. She has extensive experience working with the legal system and in forensic settings such as correctional/detention centers and coordination with probation and pretrial offices. She has also provided group and individual sex offender therapy for court-mandated clients. She believes that empathy and unconditional positive regard are the foundations of therapy, and incorporates tools from cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, existential therapy, and mindfulness. Her goals for therapy include providing a safe, non-judgmental setting for clients to explore areas of life where they can seek healing, change, and growth.
